Volunteering Requirements:

To volunteer is both a privilege and a great responsibility, so to qualify you must meet certain requirements:

• You must be at least 19 years of age.
• We do allow minors (of at least 16 years or older) to volunteer, but only if you are accompanied by a parent/legal guardian of legal age.  Parents/guardians must be willing to volunteer for the same shifts as the minor
• Volunteering privileges are subject to the discretion and approval of the Volunteer Coordinator.
• All volunteers must submit a Volunteer Application form.
• All volunteers must arrive NO LATER THAN 9:00PM on the Wednesday of the festival week in order to be assigned their 4 shift commitment.
• Volunteers are required to complete a minimum of 4 shifts
• All shifts are assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator
• Each volunteer shift is 8 hours
• Volunteer shifts begin the Sunday prior to the first official day of the festival at 9:00AM and are scheduled through to the evening of the following Sunday, the night of the closing ceremonies.
• There is a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY towards volunteers under the influence of drugs and or alcohol while on shift.  Failure to comply will result in a loss of all volunteer privileges and immediate surrender of wristband and expulsion from the festival.
• Volunteers are PROHIBITED to wear Mountainfest Volunteer T-shirts while not on shift

Volunteers Receive the Following:

• A designated seating area in Reserved Seating to watch Mainstage performances.
• Volunteer campsite located in a designated area located in Campground 7 along the Coldwater River.  All volunteers are assigned a numbered camping spot.
• A box meal is provided during each shift worked.
• An outline of the job description for the assigned position and a work schedule.
• Each fully worked shift earns one wristband for a Mainstage performance. 
• One on-site wristband per shift worked allowing you onto the show grounds for each day.  Wristbands will be handed out on a per show-day basis, regardless of whether all volunteering time has been fulfilled.  No exceptions.
• 2 Festival volunteer shirts – to be worn at all times when on shift.  These shirts must not be worn while off shift.
• Water Bottle
• Mountainfest Souvenir Program
• Festival Info Guide
• Other special goodies to help you perform your job at the festival.

Active Mountain Entertainment Corporation appreciates the donation of your valuable time, hard work and dedication to assist in making Mountainfest a success.  Volunteers are invited to the Volunteer Appreciation and Festival Wrap up Party that takes place Sunday at 8:00PM following the closing ceremonies of the festival.  All volunteers attending the party are entered into a draw for a chance to win a door prize and will be issued 2 beverage tickets.  Light snacks will be provided.
