 Daily Transportation Available from Surrey to Merritt, BC!
Metro Vancouver, BC - This year Mountainfest has teamed up with INIRA (The International Network of Independent Recording Artists) and Kary Movers of Surrey to provide daily transportation from Surrey to the east and west gates at Mountainfest, in Merritt, B.C.. This will assist in reducing the carbon footprint by cutting the number of vehicles traveling the highway to and from Merritt for the weekend’s activities. Having the Kary Movers' truck traveling with the busses will ensure that all camping equipment, coolers, clothing etc. will have the space required as one of the concerns for travelers was the restricted space for large amounts of equipment and supplies for each person planning on camping at Merritt.
There are two options of service being offered from July 9 – 13:
- One day trip: Busses will leave Surrey Place Mall at 9 am and depart Merritt at 2:00AM returning back to Surrey.
- 2. Overnight trip: If you choose to stay over night, you can return to Surrey the next day departing Merritt at 12 noon.
Now people can plan to stay late into the night before having to return to the city. It also opens up the opportunity for people who do not drive to attend. Another benefit will be that people can attend the festival, enjoy the performances with acts such as Steve Miller Band (Friday) and Kenny Chesney (Saturday) and relax and have a good time without the worry of driving home!
The transportation cost per person will be $120 for a return trip with INIRA. If passengers pre-purchase their festival admission tickets in advance, they will save $20 on the return trip making it $100 per person, including all camping gear, supplies etc. Reservations MUST be made with INIRA for a seat on the bus and can be made online www.inira.org or by calling INIRA at (604) 583-4137. There will be trivia and other fun games on the way to Merritt so passengers will have a chance to win prizes and have a great time.
